Jakarta, September 8th 2026 — PT Helios Informatika Nusantara (Helios), a technology solutions provider specializing in IT infrastructure, cloud, and digital solutions and part of CTI Group, has officially been appointed as a value-added distributor for Utimaco, a global provider of cybersecurity and data protection solutions, in Indonesia. The partnership brings Utimaco’s data protection and encryption key management solutions to the Indonesian market amid the rapid development of the country’s digital economy and infrastructure.
Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs projects that the country’s digital economy will exceed US$130 billion in 2026. At the same time, the development of data centers, AI, and cybersecurity has become an important part of strengthening Indonesia’s national digital ecosystem.
For organizations, this growth means that more data needs to be managed and protected across increasingly diverse IT environments. This is reflected in the findings of the PwC Digital Trust Insights 2026, which show that 34% of organizations in Indonesia are spending significantly more on proactive cybersecurity strategies, compared with 22% in Asia Pacific and 24% globally.
Corporate data is no longer stored solely within internal networks, but is increasingly distributed across user devices, file servers, cloud environments, and various digital applications. This expands the potential risk of data breaches, ransomware attacks, and unauthorized access to sensitive information. The need to strengthen data protection has also become increasingly relevant with the implementation of Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), which encourages organizations to strengthen the governance and protection of the personal data they manage.
Through this partnership, Helios is bringing two Utimaco solutions to Indonesia that address key aspects of data protection: Utimaco LAN Crypt File and Folder Encryption and Enterprise Secure Key Manager (ESKM).
LAN Crypt helps organizations protect files and folders containing sensitive data through encryption, whether stored on user devices or file servers. This helps keep data protected in the event of device loss or unauthorized access attempts.
Meanwhile, ESKM helps organizations centrally manage encryption keys, the “keys” used to unlock encrypted data. Centralized management gives organizations greater control over the keys used to secure data across different systems and IT environments.
Royani Lo, CEO of Helios, said that organizations need to evolve their approach to data protection as corporate data becomes increasingly distributed across different IT environments.

These needs are also growing across healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, as well as data center and cloud providers that manage customer data and critical business information.
