Jakarta (ANTARA News) – Helios Informatika Nusantara, a value-added distributor that focuses on IT infrastructure solutions and is a subsidiary of CTI Group, collaborates with Aruba Networks to introduce Mobile Engagement and ClearPass solutions in Indonesia.
“We are optimistic that the advantages that Aruba has, combined with Helios’ technical team, could aid business partners in designing mobile engagement and BYOD solutions for corporate customers,” said Royani Lo, the Director of Helios Informatika Nusantara, in her written statement, Monday.
“This collaboration will also open up opportunities for developers in developing Meridian platform-based mobile apps,” she added.
Moreover, according to Royani, the penetration of mobile device and internet service usage in the country experiences a significant rise of 52 million smartphone users and 88.1 million internet service users.
From her point of view, it could bring an opportunity for public venue management to improve engagement and services for visitors who are connected to their Wi-Fi network. Unfortunately, Royani added, there are a lot of companies that have yet to take advantage of the opportunity to improve customer experience and only keep providing general information.
The need is then answered by Aruba Mobile Engagement (AME), a solution that could personalize customer experience according to the user’s identity and location.
AME combines software and hardware in the form of navigation, Wi-Fi, internet access, and indoor venue apps so that public venues could insert modified services in the form of messages and promotions to customers’ mobile devices.
The solution is equipped with a Meridian platform to gather location-based information from visitors and Aruba Beacon that could detect visitors’ location and become a direction pointer for visitors during their venue visit.
However, the rise of the BYOD trend has actually raised security concerns for companies. According to a research by Aruba, as many as 30% employees in the Asia-Pacific region experience data loss due to mobile device misuse.
Aruba understood the challenges faced by organizations as they try to implement tight yet flexible access solutions in handling the BYOD trend with the ClearPass Access Management System solution. ClearPass Access Management System is an enterprise-level network security management solution that allows access control and security for the IT division for network devices from various vendors. ClearPass lends a hand for organizations on access setting and termination to all mobile devices as well as make it easy for users to access Wi-Fi through self-service.
